RENOVATION IN RUNGSTED KYST

We had the pleasure of assisting a family in Rungsted Kyst with rethinking the layout of their first floor. The family, consisting of two parents and one child, moved into a beautiful house in 2024 where the upper floor needed to be optimized to meet their future needs. In the existing layout there was one large bedroom and a spacious walk-in closet with custom-built cabinetry — eight low and eight tall units, crafted specifically for the room. These elements have been preserved and integrated into the new design proposal.

At the center of the bedroom, a wide staircase leads up to a loft. As its current placement takes up a considerable amount of floor space, it is proposed to relocate the stair to the hallway and replace it with a fold-down loft ladder. The main goal of the project has been to create a more functional division of space and allow for additional rooms, while at the same time retaining and making the most of the existing qualities.
